![]() It wasn't bad, it just wasn't what I was looking for. NOTE: I have read "Blood and Ash" which is often compared to ACOTAR but it didn't even come close in my opinion. I've been looking for something to replace ACOTAR for ages now but nothing is ever good enough. ![]() ![]() Afterwards, Tamlin becomes the antagonist (for lack of a better word). This changes in the second book (A court of mist and fury) where, due to past trama, Tamlin becomes overprotective and abusive which causes Feyre to realize her feelings for Rhys with probably the best moment in the series that makes a massive callback reference to the first book in an emotional roller coaster of a chapter. In this book, Rhys is an antagonist and pretty despised by MC. (More specifically, the second book in the series).Ī good example (and huge simplification): In ACOTAR, Feyre falls in love with Tamlin and breaks herself for him. So far, the only good example of this I could find is "A Court of Thorns and Roses" By Sarah Maas. I'm looking for a fantasy series (with some action/adventure) that has decently high amounts of romance while capturing the idea of lovers-to-enemies and enemies-to-lovers.
